Purpose
Nuevo en España is a private, free guidance service for people who want to move to Spain. Based on the user's answers, it gives general guidance and, if the user asks for it and consents, puts them in touch with independent professionals (gestorías, lawyers and notaries).
No advice
Nuevo en España is not a public body, a law firm, a gestoría or an insurer. The information on this website is for guidance only and is not legal, tax or insurance advice. Each situation must be reviewed by a qualified professional.
Liability
The owner takes care to keep the information accurate and up to date, but does not guarantee that it is accurate or suitable for every case. Services provided by the professionals the user is referred to are agreed directly with them, under their sole responsibility.
Intellectual property
The texts and design of this website belong to the owner. The Nuevo en España brand is used with the authorisation of its owner. Reproduction without permission is prohibited.
Applicable law
This notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be heard by the competent courts under the rules that apply to consumers.
2. Privacy policy
This policy explains how we process your personal data, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Data we process
- Your answers: the procedures you need, nationality (region of origin) and time in Spain.
- Your contact details: first name, surname, email, WhatsApp number and town or area.
- Technical data: the IP address you send the form from, kept in pseudonymised form for one hour at most to prevent mass submissions, and what your browser stores as described in the cookie policy.
We do not ask for any health data or other sensitive data. Please do not include any in your request.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
Recipients
- Partner professionals in your area, depending on your request: gestorías and the lawyers or notaries they work with when your procedure requires it. Each one processes your data as an independent controller once they receive it. On request, we will tell you which professional your data was passed to.
- Our technical service providers: website hosting and email (Hostinger) and messaging (WhatsApp, by Meta), bound by a data processing agreement.
- Public authorities, when required by law.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers (for example Meta/WhatsApp) may process data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are then based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or on standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for 12 months after your request, or until you withdraw your consent. After that, it is only archived for the legal limitation periods.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to contacto@nuevoenespana.com and stating which right you are exercising. If you believe your request has not been handled properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
Minors
The service is intended for people over 18. We do not knowingly process data from minors.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or alteration.
3. Cookie policy
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. This website does not use analytics, advertising or third-party cookies. It only stores in your browser the necessary technical data listed below, which does not require consent (article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE).

4. Terms of use
- The service is free for the user. Nuevo en España may be paid by partner professionals for advertising and referrals. This payment does not increase the price you pay.
- The professionals are independent. The quote, the contract and the service are agreed directly between you and the professional.
- You must be over 18 and provide accurate information about yourself.
- We may change these terms; the version in force is always the one published on this page.
